Here is some old Super8 film (family home movies) from 1992 that we paid to have converted to a HD computer format. I think the quality is pretty good. I did have some trouble getting the audio in sync however.
UPDATE:
I changed the brightness/contrast of the video and zoomed in a little bit so hopefully now you can see people's faces better.
